Mandolyn had gone 5 years without a comprehensive eye exam. With no vision insurance, she was unable to cover the cost herself. Through a partnership between Prevent Blindness NC and the VSP Eyes of Hope voucher program, Mandolyn was able to obtain a free eye exam and glasses by an eye care provider in her local area. The doctor told Mandolyn that her vision had changed significantly since her last visit and also diagnosed a corneal problem. This issue had arisen since her last comprehensive eye exam and Mandolyn was completely unaware she had a problem. She was so happy to receive her glasses and be able to see better. “I can see very well. Thank you so much for your assistance.”
