Dr. Kyle Eaton: A Visionary Partner Making a Difference

Prevent Blindness North Carolina (PBNC) is proud to recognize Dr. Kyle Eaton as an exemplary member of our Visionary Partners initiative allows eye care professionals across North Carolina to support PBNC through monetary donations, donated eye exams, or volunteering their time to read retinal images for the Community Vision Program. Dr. Eaton has demonstrated his commitment to this mission by generously contributing both financially and through direct patient care since 2010.

A Commitment to Community Vision
Dr. Eaton’s dedication to providing accessible eye care aligns perfectly with PBNC’s mission. By donating eye exams and supporting PBNC programs, he helps ensure that underserved populations receive essential vision screenings and eye care services. His contributions are invaluable in preventing blindness and improving eye health throughout North Carolina.

Bringing His Passion to North Carolina
Dr. Eaton’s journey to optometry was driven by a passion for vision health and community service. After earning degrees in biology, philosophy, and neuroscience at Miami University (OH), he pursued his optometric education at the University of California at Berkeley. During his training, he gained extensive clinical experience in primary eye care, ocular disease, and pediatric vision. He also volunteered at a free eye care clinic in Nicaragua, providing vision care to thousands in need.

In 2006, Dr. Eaton earned his doctorate in optometry and became licensed in North Carolina, where he established his practice and embraced the opportunity to serve the community. Since then, he has been a dedicated advocate for accessible eye care, making a lasting impact through both his practice and his involvement with PBNC.

Dr. Eaton’s unwavering support of PBNC’s initiatives exemplifies what it means to be a Visionary Partner. His ongoing contributions help expand eye care access for those in need, demonstrating the profound impact one dedicated professional can have on public health. Dr. Eatons says “Optometry and North Carolina have blessed me greatly.  Your organization provides an outlet to give thanks for those blessings.”
